This boosted the already popular accessories and footwear collections, adding the finishing touch to the designer collection. Presently Celine is headed up by Phoebe Philo a British designer, born in Paris but raised in London, she trained at Central Saint Martins College and later designed for Chloe before becoming creative director at Celine. Phoebe was awarded ‘British designer of the year’ in 2010 by the British fashion council followed closely by ‘International designer of the year’ by the CFDA, so it is safe to say Celine is in very capable hands.
