Style with protection
Sunglasses do two jobs: they protect your eyes and they frame your face. Our sunglasses collection covers classic and fashion-forward frames from Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Guess, Prada, Burberry, Gucci, BOSS and more.
Choosing a frame shape
A simple guide is to choose a frame that contrasts with your face shape. Round faces suit rectangle and square frames, which add definition. Square and angular faces suit round and oval frames, which soften the lines. Oval faces suit most shapes, so you can experiment with oversized styles and cat eye frames. Wayfarers flatter almost everyone.
Lens features
Check for 100% UV protection, usually shown as UV400 or a CE category marking. Polarised lenses cut glare from water, snow and wet roads, which makes them a good choice for driving and holidays. Gradient lenses are darker at the top and lighter at the bottom, useful for reading a phone screen in the sun. For running, cycling and outdoor sport, see our sports sunglasses, which have lighter frames that grip better.
Fit
The frame should sit level, not touch your cheeks when you smile and stay put when you look down. Frame measurements are usually printed on the inside of the arm: lens width, bridge width and arm length, in millimetres.
Care
Clean lenses with a microfibre cloth, not your clothing, and store your sunglasses in their case. Never leave them on a car dashboard in the heat.
