The Top 12 Bags of 2017

Every girl has her dream handbag, and whether it’s Christmas or not, MyBag are here to help. This year we’ve been dropping dream bags hints left right and centre, and now is not the time to stop (in fact, it’s the time to shop). With 2018 literally just around the corner, we’ve taken a look back at this year’s ultimate handbag trends to curate the Top 12 Bag Styles of 2017 to aid your browsing in the MyBag AW17 SALE.

1. Cross Body Bags

Of course this comes first.. now what can we not say about the cross body bag. From LV’s iconic runway look donning two mini bags back in 2015, to this year’s serious resurfacing of cross body travel bags, the style is back and more beautiful than ever, and we have one for everyone.

2. The Golden Detail

A little gold goes a long way, especially at Christmas. From the Marc Jacob’s Snapshot to our favourite Cambridge Satchel Company tasselled number, there are so many beautiful bags to dream about this year. When it comes to detailing, a hint of gold adds an element of accessory to any outfit.

3. Buckles

Buckling is undoubtedly a timeless staple handbag feature, from the classic satchel buckle to more elaborate versions, we love them all. Whether you’re an introvert or a self-proclaimed extrovert, there’s a buckle bag for you.

4. Mini Bucket Bags

Adorable (because its mini), handy (because its mini), and cute to match any outfit (because its mini!). Basically, it’s super cute and easy for the girl on-the-go, dip your hand in and grab whatever you need at any given point.

5. Double Chains

In the style of Chanel’s Gabrielle, an iconic bag this year, wearing cross body bags on a shorter strap, doubled across the body or adjusting them to fit around the waist are few new favourite style features of ours this year. Doubling up your chains works a treat to use your bags as a bit of body bling as well as an adorable accessory.

6. Statement Shapes

Whether it be a retro statement square, an adorable patterned number or if you use your bag to express everything in your life (even your love of cartoons), we have the bag for you.

7. Statement Coloured Bags

For that bold one in the group who always rocks colours you wish you could (if you’re that person we love you). No matter the season there’s a colour funner and funkier than the last, and this season we’ve fully accepted that winter isn’t just for blacks and greys.

8. Baby Pink Bags

Always adorable (and after realising it actually goes with everything), baby pink is back with a bang and it’s going nowhere. After the pastel hued year we’ve had this 2017, we’re at the forefront of taking pink and it’s all its shades with us in to the new year.

9. Fluff

Now what can we say about fluff? It makes us feel as warm and fuzzy on the inside as it looks on the outside, and with the amount of fluff going viral this winter. Although we know your bag doesn’t technically “need” to stay warm, we believe our phone and wallet deserve a cuddle too after everything we’ve put them through this year. If you’re not feeling all over fluff, a keyring or gloves can subtley accessorise with just as much fluffy fun this winter.

10. Backpacks

Whether it be a tiny backpack perfect for transporting your stuff in style, or a beefy buckle backpack fit for a weekend away or a big day out, backpacks are a go-to for anyone and everyone.

11. Satchels

Satchels give the ultimate 90’s back-to-school vibes and can be so useful to wear a multitude of ways. Their handy, sturdy structure and size is ideal to keep everything you need from laptops to books and bottles, if you’re that efficient someone on the move, this is the bag for you.

12. The Big Clutch

The big clutch has been a statement in street style this year, available in every colour shape and size and easily wearable with any outfit from day to night, we’ll definitely be taking this one through in to the new year.
