Eurovision is just days away and here at MyBag we’re embracing all things European. This continent has some of the best style in the world, with each country different and distinct – from Scandinavian minimalism, to French sophistication and Italian glamour. Over the next few days, we’ll be looking at the style Europe has to offer – as well as the some of the best designers.
Today, the United Kingdom takes the spotlight. Traditionally not the most successful when it comes to the Eurovision Song Contest, this country’s style more than makes up for it. From classic style and traditional prints, to punk, rock ‘n’ roll and vintage-inspired, one word to describe British style would be ‘eclectic’. Think of the UK’s modern-day style heroes; Kate Moss, Amal Clooney, Alexa Chung and Kate Middleton – all have different takes on style and fashion, yet all are quintessentially British. Brits aren’t afraid to experiment with different looks, put their own spin on a trend, combine eras or mix up men’s and women’s wear.

The UK’s accessory designers are no different. Aspinal of London is luxurious and classic with timeless leather pieces making up its collection, whereas the likes of Lulu Guinness put a quirky spin on classic shapes. Vintage-inspired styles come in the form of The Cambridge Satchel Company’s bags and satchels – updating designs for the 21st century and celebrating this country’s heritage. On the other end of the spectrum, Danielle Foster bags are smart, minimal and contemporary, leading the way for a new era of British designers whilst still sticking to long standing values of having well-made, quality bags.
