Oxblood, port, burgundy…whatever you call it, this colour is big news for AW15. It was seen everywhere on the runways – in head-to-toe ‘40s-inspired looks at Jasper Conran and Givenchy, long-length coats at Soojin Lee and Proenza Schouler, and intricate dresses at Altuzarra and Alexander McQueen. Put simply, it’s the colour of the season, and one you should be investing in.

It’s not just for autumn/winter though, this colour can be worn for summer too – just make sure you mix it with light, fresh colours to keep it season-appropriate. We love this look we spotted on Stockholm Streetstyle; by keeping her outfit simple and in light grey tones, her burgundy cross body bag is a real stand-out piece and doesn’t look out of place in the sunshine. Shop our favourite burgundy pieces from MyBag below, that you can wear now and for autumn/winter.
